We are delighted to invite you to the Akrotiri Spring Festival, a vibrant, family-friendly celebration dedicated to the natural and cultural treasures of the Akrotiri Peninsula. The event will take place on Sunday, 3 May 2026 at the Akrotiri Environmental Education Centre, as part of the Environmental Month of the Municipality of Kourion.

This unique celebration is organized by the Municipality of Kourion, is supported by BirdLife Cyprus, Terra Cypria – The Cyprus Conservation Foundation, the Environment Department of the British Bases the Akrotiri Environmental Education Centre – Unit of Education for the Environment and Sustainable Development, the Joint Services Health Unit, with contributions from Enalia Physis Environmental Research Centre and Nicosia Municipal Arts Centre (NiMAC).

Visitors of all ages will enjoy a full day of engaging activities that blend fun with environmental education. From an early morning bird ringing demonstration to interactive nature games and workshops, eco-crafts, cycling and birdwatching there’s something for everyone.

With something for every age group and interest, the Akrotiri Spring Festival promises to be a day full of exploration, creativity, and connection with nature.

All events are free and some of the workshops require preregistration.
