On Saturday, 11 December we’ll be setting up our telescopes at Athalassa National Park for birdwatching!
Did you know that birdwatching is a great way to connect with birds and nature? Join us anytime between 9:00 – 11:30am for birdwatching by the lake! Together, we will learn how to use binoculars and telescopes and identify bird species with the help of a bird guide. We will provide telescopes, binoculars as well as information material, such as our popular bird guide and activity books for children.
During the event, guidelines pertaining to outdoor events issued by the Ministry of Health will be observed, in order to protect the public and prevent the spread of COVID-19. Attendees (aged 6 and over) must present a Safe Pass and wear a suitable protective mask.
The event is open to the public and is free of charge. Participants can come anytime between 9:00 – 11:30am on the day. We will be located by the lake (General Hospital side of the park), a few meters before the bird hide, where park benches were recently placed overlooking the lake.
