Key information: The Robin can be seen in Cyprus from October to March. It has a rusty red face and breast and it is therefore easily identified. The Robins that winter in Cyprus can be very shy, and so it is easier to hear than to see one. It is one of the few species that continue singing into winter. Its song is melodious and a bit melancholic.

Length: 12,5 – 14 cm

Habitat: Towns and villages, mountains and forests, farmland, scrub and bushes

When they can be seen: Autumn, winter, spring

What they eat: Invertebrates, seeds, fruits

In Cyprus: Can be seen all over Cyprus, in forested areas, groves, gardens and parks

Status: Winter visitor, passage migrant
