Celebrating autumn bird migration at Cape Greco
Join us in celebrating autumn bird migration on Sunday, 20th of October, at Cape Greco, with a unique event dedicated to the migratory birds of the area.
Bird migration is among the wonders of the natural world. From the smallest of songbirds weighing just a few grams to the most majestic of raptors soaring through the skies, birds and their epic journeys never fail to fascinate us. Now is the time when millions of birds are leaving their breeding territories to travel towards the south to spend their winter. Cape Greco is a protected Natura 2000 site and is an important stopover for many migratory birds.
During the event, old and young alike will have the opportunity to participate in unique activities, such as bird ringing, bird watching, fun educational games and crafts for families, a nest box workshop, etc.
